Thanks to expert design and 9310 alloy steel—AKA one of the toughest gear materials on the planet—our pinion and snorkel gear set can’t be beat. These gears are perfectly lapped, meaning they’re broken in together and guaranteed to mesh perfectly every time. This keeps everything running smooth and strong in all conditions. Throw in a 300M front output shaft and you’re left with the best Polaris transmission on the market.
A Better Pinion Bearing Retainer
Your weak OEM pinion bearing retainer tends to let the pinion gear pull away from the snorkel gear. This results in the gears chipping teeth, pulling apart, and breaking. Thanks to our bigger, redesigned pinion bearing retainer, that isn’t something you need to worry about. We’ve designed the retainer to keep your pinion gear held firmly in place.

The icing on this transmission cake is our rock-solid case. It adds extra strength where you need it the most. We use 68% more metal on the axle output and snorkel tube, which is where OEM transmission cases tend to fail. We also added extra support ribs and gussets for added strength.
