These 13-inch shocks are designed with nitrogen-charged steel monotube damper bodies, providing consistent damping performance. The hard chrome-plated shafts ensure durability and smooth operation under various riding conditions. Featuring dual-rate progressive wound springs, they deliver a smoother, more controlled ride by adapting to road imperfections and rider input. The adjustable spring preload allows you to customize ride stiffness, while the ride-height can be adjusted by up to 1/2 inch to suit your preference and riding style. These black shocks include matching springs and damper bodies with black end caps and eyelets, creating a sleek look that complements the motorcycle's aesthetic. Easy to mount with existing hardware, they are compatible with most Harley-Davidson touring models from 1990 to 2023. Please note that shocks shorter than OEM length may reduce travel, affecting ride quality and handling. Lowering the motorcycle can also reduce ground and cornering clearance, so it’s essential to verify wheel travel and clearance before installation to prevent contact issues with components such as the swingarm, exhaust, chain or belt guards, and tires. These shocks are not suitable for use with rear lowering kits and will not fit with OE upper shock mount covers. Custom mounting may be required for models with OEM-style offset mount shocks, especially when using non-OEM length options.
