Threaded Base - QM2 Quick Mount Adapter is recommended not required.  The Threaded whip does work with the QM2 Adapter or threaded adapters with 1/2x20 threads.

Quick Release Base - QRL03 Quick Release Adapter is required to properly use the Quick Release whip.

OTTO Quick Release Whip - No Adapter is required. The OTTO Quick Release whip does work with the QM2 Adapter or threaded adapters with 1/2x20 threads.
